Information Management Course Goal: Students will learn health care systems, health informatics, health data concepts, electronic health record systems, classification systems, clinical vocabularies, and terminologies. Students will also learn about data access and retention; technology, applications, and security; information systems life cycle and project management; data management and use; research and epidemiology; performance, management, and safety; privacy and health law; human resource management; operational management; revenue cycle and financial management. Students will prepare for the AHIMA Certified Coding Associate examination. |
